Transition programs teach résumés and interviews. Few teach what actually breaks the landing: identity, structure, purpose, and the loss of a team that knew your name. Mission-Ready Civilian™ is formation for that gap. A veteran cannot buy it — it is requested through a VR&E counselor, and the VA authorizes it. Veterans pay nothing.

Life in Darkness builds capacity upstream of crisis. It does not provide clinical diagnosis, treatment, or crisis response. Veterans in acute crisis are routed to the Veterans Crisis Line — dial 988, then press 1 — and to licensed providers.
Where programming is supported by federal financial assistance: participation in any explicitly religious activity is voluntary and is never a condition of receiving services. Religious activities are separated in time or location from federally supported program activity. No one is discriminated against on the basis of religion or refusal to participate in a religious practice.
