Formation is delivered by people. Every role below supports structured programs — with one screening standard across all of them.

The Standard

One Screening Standard. Every Role.

Every volunteer in any role — program-facing or not — completes background check and LiveScan fingerprint screening, reference checks, and a code of conduct. Volunteers in contact with youth or families additionally complete mandated reporter training. Formation roles receive structured training before serving a cohort.

Support small-group grief formation sessions using structured curriculum. Structured training and screening required before serving.

Family Formation Mentor

Support families in structured formation programming for blended-household transitions. Screening and training required.

2 hours/week ongoing

Faith Community Liaison

Connect your congregation with Life in Darkness formation programming and workshop cohorts.

Flexible schedule

Digital & Creative Support

Help with social media content, graphic design, video production, or website updates. Work remotely on your own schedule.

5 hours/week remote

Community Engagement Support

Support community outreach, event coordination, and engagement initiatives in Canyon Lake.
